The police advise how to keep your home safe

· Always lock your entrance door when you are at home. · Don't open the door without checking who came and why – look through the peephole and ask. · If a representative of an institution, for example a bank, administration, power plant or gasworks, shows up, check by phone without opening the door whether he was addressed to you. If you don't have a phone, ask a neighbor for help. · If you need to let someone in, do not leave them alone in the apartment for even a moment. It is best if you are accompanied by neighbors or a family member. · Do not give any money to sales agents or collectors and do not sign any contracts with them without carefully reading the provisions and consequences. · Do not give any money to people who pretend to be your family members over the phone or ask for money through intermediaries. · If you have money at home, hide it in a safe place that is difficult for criminals to access. · Do not provide any information over the phone, especially your personal data, bank account numbers and passwords, and do not talk about your life plans or family members.
