One person died and two were injured in an accident on national road 91 in Piotrków Trybunalski (Łódź province). According to the police, the driver of a Fiat did not give way to the driver of a BMW and caused a collision. The road is completely blocked.
The incident occurred on Thursday before 6 a.m. on national road 91 in Piotrków Trybunalski. The services received information about a collision between two cars.
After arriving at the scene the information was confirmed.
One person dead, two injured
The first to arrive at the scene were firefighters. – At the intersection of Krakowskie Przedmieście and Moryca streets, two passenger cars collided, resulting in one person dying on the spot and two others being injured – said Brig. Wojciech Pawlikowski from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Piotrków Trybunalski.

– Initial findings indicate that the driver of the Fiat, coming from the direction of Zalesice, entered the road with priority of way, failing to yield to the BMW, and caused a collision. The 50-year-old passenger of the Fiat died at the scene, its driver was taken to hospital, the BMW driver was sober – said Senior Constable Izabela Gajewska from the police in Piotrków Trybunalski.

National road 91 is completely blocked. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor.
