The Red Cross set up field beds at the Lisbon airport. This is a makeshift lodging house for hundreds of passengers who got stuck after Monday Blackout in Portugal.

As informed by the authorities of the Portuguese Red Cross branch, which created a temporary place of rest for passengers waiting on the departure of Lisbon, at the terminal of the 1st Capital Airport Humberto Delgado was arranged on Tuesday 200 field beds.
Originally, as reported by the Red Cross, 400 beds were planned to prepare 400 beds at the request of the airport authorities and Portuguese civil defense. However, after restoring power supply on Monday late in the evening, this number was reduced by half.
The Red Cross estimates show that from Tuesday morning to early evening from the place of rest for passengers, which will operate at least until Wednesday at the airport, so far over 600 people have benefited. Poles were also among them.

Several thousand injured Poles
According to the Polish consul in Lisbon, Rafał Budyta, passengers from Poland experienced the greatest difficulties on Monday. There could be a total of several thousand Poles among the victims of Blackout.
The data of the Lisbon airport operator shows that on Tuesday a morning flight was canceled to Warsaw. The delays, in turn, concerned cruises from Lisbon to Krakow and Poznań. In the afternoon on Tuesday from Lisbon to Warsaw with an hour's delay, the first plane started since the start of Blackout.
Among over 30 flights from Lisbon's over 30, there were, among others Cruises to New York, Barcelona, Brussels and Rome.
