Radosław Sikorski appealed in Brussels to EU Foreign Ministers to remove the restrictions imposed by their countries on the use by Ukraine of the long-range weapons donated to it.
– That would be complete self-defense, which is legal under international law. The defense of children's oncology hospitals is not an escalation – assessed the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He added that during a video conference on Monday, the Ukrainianand Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba admitted that the situation in Ukraine is very difficult.
Sikorski pointed out that Kiev could use this opportunity prevent Russian attacksby destroying planes firing cruise missiles and attacking the airports from which they take off.

– During the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, the most time was taken up by the discussion on where the formal or informal meeting should take place Foreign Affairs Council during Hungary's presidency of the EU Council this six months – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
There were unofficial reports earlier that as part of the boycott of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his self-proclaimed “peace mission” in Russia, among others, the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell could organize a meeting scheduled for the end of August somewhere other than Budapest, e.g. Brussels.
– We have not made a decision on this yet – admitted Sikorski. As he said, some EU countries believe that the informal Council should not be held in Budapest.
– I proposed a compromise solution for the Council to meet in Ukraine. This would be a sign of our solidarity with this country. – said Sikorski, adding that for logistical reasons it would be easier to organize this meeting in western Ukraine, e.g. in Lviv.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that his proposal was subject to discussion because a decision in this matter would require unanimity. However, Hungary blocked it..
