Police raid in Rzgów near Łódź. Police officers spent several hours searching for three Georgian citizens who had previously robbed the owner of a tow truck, fled in a passenger car, and then ran into the forest. As reported by the police, the operation ended at 4 a.m. and two men were detained. The third is still at large.
Information about three wanted men of Georgian nationality was shared on social media at the request of the police. The message appeared, among others, on the official profile of the city and commune of Rzgów. “Three dangerous criminals are located in Rzgów. In the event of detection, keep a safe distance and immediately notify law enforcement. The wanted men are three men of Georgian nationality, two dressed in shorts, one may have facial hair – a beard, they may not have shoes” – wrote the officials.

A large sum of money was stolen
According to the police, a large sum of money was stolen on August 27 on Rzemieślnicza Street in Rzgów. – Initial findings by police officers working on the scene indicate that unknown perpetrators stole money from inside the car by breaking its window and the tow truck. Then they started to escape in a passenger car towards Łódź. At the time of the incident, the injured party tried to stop the perpetrators, but they abandoned the car and started to escape on foot towards the nearby forest – reported asp. Aneta Kotynia, spokesperson for the police for the eastern Łódź district. A police manhunt has been underway since then. On Wednesday morning, Kotynia confirmed that the police officers' actions lasted until 4 a.m. and two men were detained. – The actions will be resumed in order to detain the third man – the policewoman said. The investigation into this case was initiated by the District Prosecutor's Office in Pabianice.
