Mariusz Kamiński’s name was removed from the list of current MPs on the Sejm website. According to the information, Maciej Wąsik is still a current MP of the Law and Justice club.
On Wednesday, the decision of the Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of December 21, 2023 regarding the expiry of the mandate of a deputy was published in Monitor Polski. Mariusz Kamiński.
On Thursday afternoon, on the Sejm website, Kamiński’s name was no longer on the list of current MPs. His name appears in the “former MPs of the current term” tab, and next to it there is an endorsement – “loss of the right to be elected”.
Maciej Wąsik (PiS) is still on the list of current MPs.
Stopped by the police
On Tuesday evening, the police detained PiS politicians, former heads of the CBA, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, sentenced on December 20 last year a final sentence of two years’ imprisonment in connection with the so-called the land scandal of 2007
After the judgment of December 20, the Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia issued decisions declaring the expiry of their parliamentary mandates. Kamiński and Wąsik appealed against these decisions, which the Speaker of the Sejm referred to the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court.
On Wednesday, the Chamber of Labor and Social Insurance of the Supreme Court did not accept Mariusz Kamiński’s appeal.
