Siedlce. Three -year -old Emilka was dehydrated and malnourished. The prosecutor's office about the cause of the child's death

The direct cause of the death of three -year -old Emilka from Siedlce was purulent pneumonia – the prosecutor's office said. According to investigators, the child's illness was the result of a mother's neglect, which did not react to emerging symptoms of infection.

Three -year -old Emilka died on the night of August 1, 2 last year. The services were notified by a friend of the child's mother who was in the apartment with them at that time. The mother of the girl, 25-year-old Klaudia G., heard allegations of abuse of a clumsy person because of the age and state of health and inadvertently causing the child's death.

Investigative findings show that the three -year -old was in a state of exhaustion and malnutrition. The girl from birth had several diseases found. She didn't walk and didn't speak. A mother was looked after by a mother, who was divorced with her child's father. The 25-year-old during the explanations made in the prosecutor's office said that her father did not help her look after her daughter. The man was limited only to paying maintenance regularly.

The cause of the child's death was purulent pneumonia

According to prosecutor Katarzyna Wąsak, head of the District Prosecutor's Office in Siedlce on Monday morning, the institution was received by the opinion of the expert team regarding the cause of the girl's death.

– This opinion shows that the direct cause of the child's death was untreated purulent pneumonia. The experts stated that inflammation was directly related to the destruction of the child's body, to which the mother's neglect contributed. These neglect are: food deficiencies, lack of child care, proper treatment and rehabilitation, as well as the lack of mother's response to emerging disease symptoms, and finally the lack of response to any child's health needs – said prosecutor Wąsak.

The decision to change the qualification of the mother's act has not yet been made. – Both the opinion and all evidence are quite extensive and are analyzed – added prosecutor Wąsak.
