A group of motor hang gliders took off on Friday afternoon from Hubale. They reported a flight over Skierbieszów, Łabudany and Zamość.

“At one point, one of the group participants noticed that the motorized paraglider piloted by a 47-year-old resident of Zamość was not following them, and the passenger was a 23-year-old woman, also a resident of Zamość,” writes staff aspirant Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło from the Municipal Police Headquarters in a press release. in Zamość.

The man turned around and saw the motorized paraglider. It was located in the Sitaniec meadow, about 1.5 kilometers from national road number 17.

“Before the arrival of the services, the paragliders provided first aid to the injured people – conscious people with numerous injuries,” we read on the Facebook profile of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Zamość.

Firefighters also emphasize that access to the site of the incident was difficult – “in a wet meadow, approximately 1 km from paved roads.”

The motor gliders were taken to hospital. The man was taken by an ambulance crew, while the 23-year-old woman was transported to one of the hospitals in Lublin by the Air Ambulance Team.

“Police officers worked at the scene of the incident, secured traces, inspected and interviewed witnesses. We notified the Aircraft Accidents Investigation Commission about the accident. Its representatives arrived at the scene yesterday and performed the necessary activities to clarify the course of the accident,” said Asp. pcs. Krukowska-Bubiło.

The police are also investigating the circumstances of the incident.
