Gazprom began sending gas to Southern Southern Turkstream on February 1. Deliveries are to be doubled in April. The agreement with Gazprom Export applies to Slovaks until 2034, and the head of the Slovak gas company SPP, Vojtech Ferencz announced that it would not be broken.
The Turkstream gas pipeline connects Russia and Turkey, from where the raw material is transported to Slovakia. Earlier, Slovakia imported Russian gas through Ukraine, which ended its transmission at the beginning of this year. The Slovak company SPP has calculated that due to the transit fees, transport of gas other than Russian will cost EUR 90 million more. That is why, as Slovak media established, he sets up a subsidiary in Ukraine and is applying for a license for gas transmission, which will allow it to transport gas from Russia.
