By 8 p.m., firefighters had received 1,559 calls related to removing the effects of strong winds and flooding, informed the spokesman for the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Karol Kierzkowski. The largest number of incidents was recorded in the following provinces: Pomerania – 363, West Pomerania – 195, Mazovia – 184, Kuyavian-Pomeranian – 176 and Łódź – 133.

As a result of strong winds, a shipyard crane standing at the quay on Ostrów Island fell into the Kashubian Canal in Gdańsk. No one was hurt in the incident.

Flooding occurred in Kościerzyna. Mayor Dawid Jereczek said that the most difficult situation was on Szopińskiego and Kowalska streets. He said that “a lot of water fell in a very short time.”

In Western Pomerania, storms caused damage to power grids. As reported by the Provincial Crisis Management Center in Szczecin, around 16 in the western part of the voivodeship, 5,800 customers had no electricity, mainly in Goleniów and the surrounding area. In the Koszalin part of the voivodeship, approximately 400 households remained without electricity.

– Firefighters worked to pump out water from flooded basements and remove windbreaks – said the WCZK officer on duty.

Storms also hit the Masovian Voivodeship, among others. The storm passed over Warsaw and surrounding counties.
