The boat capsized and one of the anglers did not emerge

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Czorsztyn. “For unexplained reasons, the boat with two anglers capsized and sank, and the men found themselves in the water. One of them managed to swim to the shore, unfortunately the other disappeared under the water,” says the Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 4 in Krakow.

The fisherman, who swam safely to the shore, called the services. He reported that his friend had disappeared under water. Ultimately, the 74-year-old was found by a diver, but despite the efforts of rescuers, he did not survive. A sunken boat was also brought to shore.

Now the police are investigating the circumstances of the man's death.
