She added that the largest appeared in the southern regions of the country, among others in the province of the South Gyeongsang. There, over 400 people were evacuated there because of the threat. Local authorities placed them in temporary shelters.

The Forest Service, registration of fires, has announced that the fire in the province of Gyeongsang South has digested over 500 hectares of forests. Almost 1,600 firefighters, 35 fire -fighting helicopters and dozens of vehicles are fighting with fire, but the fire managed to master only 35 percent. The extinguishing is hindered by a strong wind, which causes the fire to spread quickly.
Fires also forced the closing of several sections of the highways in the south-eastern part of the country, including one connecting the cities of Ulsan and Busan.
