The Russian army systematically bombards Ukraine's civil infrastructure. The estimated cost of rebuilding the country from damage caused by three -year -old Russian aggression is EUR 506 billion – according to calculations prepared by the World Bank in cooperation with the UN, the European Commission and the Ukrainian government. The amount is about three times the Ukrainian GDP in 2024.
“This analysis shows clearly the scale of destruction in Ukraine, which Russia is responsible for,” the organization and institutions that prepared this report were forwarded in Tuesday's announcement.
Earlier estimates of losses resulting from the Russian invasion Ukraineprepared by the World Bank in February 2023 and March 2024, in turn amounted to EUR 392 billion and 464 billion euros.
“Last year, the funds needed for the reconstruction of Ukraine continued to increase due to uninterrupted Russian attacks,” Denys Szmyhal, cited in the prime minister of Ukraine, noted.

The AFP agency pointed out that the most injured Russian attacks are circuits in the east of the country: Doniecki, Lugański, Kharkiv, and Zaporozhye, Kersonia and Kiev agglomerations, which is attacked almost every day. In total, almost 13 percent of residential buildings were destroyed or damaged, which affected over 2.5 million households.
