Thick fog. They may cause difficulties in land and, locally, air transport

As tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Tomasz Wakszyński reported on Wednesday, in many places there is heavy fog, fog, and in places also freezing fog, limiting visibility. They may cause difficulties in land and, locally, air transport.

The forecaster added that the situation would get even worse at sunrise and immediately after it (e.g. v WarsawModlin, Łódź), the fogs will be more numerous and also “denser and thicker. You should also remember about the occurrence of ground frosts, frost will appear in many places. In case of freezing fogs, rime may also appear in some places.

Fog reduces visibility in:

– RzeszówJelenia Góra, KłodzkoMława, Kętrzyn, Racibórz, Nowy Sącz, TarnówKrosno up to 100 meters;

– Krakow up to 150 meters;

– Białystok up to 300 meters;

– Gdańsk up to 500 meters;

– Kielce up to 600 meters;

– Poznań, Lębork, Terespol up to 700 meters;

– Wrocław, Olsztyn, Sanok up to 800 meters.

First degree warnings against dense fog apply to the following voivodeships:

Visibility may be limited to 200 meters in places. The warnings will end at 9 on Wednesday.

Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by road traffic, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
