Policemen detained the perpetrator of the collision on the Poniatowski bridge. A moment after the collision with another car, the man pulled into a nearby parking lot and fell asleep. A drug test showed that he could have been under the influence of at least four intoxicants. The 24-year-old lost his driving license and heard the charge.
Downtown police informed about the case. A 24-year-old Mercedes driver was detained, who caused a collision on the Poniatowski bridge. The accounts of officers show that it was a harmless collision with another vehicle. Their attention, however, caught what happened a moment later, because the man pulled into the nearby parking lot and fell asleep.
He was awakened by police from the 8th company of the Police Prevention Department who were near the place of the incident. As spokesman for the Warsaw Police District Headquarters describes and the younger aspirant Jakub Pacyniak, the man became aggressive when he saw the officers.
The study showed the presence of drugs
– He was detained and transported to the command at Wilcza Street. The breathalyzer test showed that the 24-year-old was sober. His behavior clearly indicated that he could be under the influence of drugs. The use of a special tester was confirmed by the presence of at least four intoxicants in his body – reports a spokesman for the downtown police.
He adds that the 24-year-old was previously examined, and in the hospital he was taken blood for further toxicological analysis.
– The next day after interrogation at the downtown headquarters, he heard allegations for driving a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants. He lost his driving license and faces up to three years imprisonment – adds young asp. Pacyniak.
The proceedings in this case are supervised by the Warsaw Śródmieście-Północ District Prosecutor's Office.
