An unusual event occurred in the road tunnel near Ursynów along the southern bypass of Warsaw. There was a man who, using an alarm phone, asked the dispatcher to send “transport” for him. Policemen were sent to the place.

The Warsaw branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informed about the event, which manages the tunnel of the Southern Bypass of Warsaw.

– “Sir, I need transport” – the dispatcher heard in the Tunnel Management Center (CZT) in the handset – Road workers report.

On the recording made available on the network you can see a man walking along the wall of the tunnel, approaches the door behind which there is an alarm phone. The man is calling and asking for transport. The dispatcher instructs him to stay in place and wait for arrival. A few minutes later a police car appears in the tunnel on the signal. The man gets into the car with the policemen and leaves.

He quarreled with the driver

The incident occurred on the night of March 22-23. The intervention was conducted by officers of the Road Traffic Department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters. There we asked about its details.

– The man quarreled with the driver of the vehicle he traveled and was removed from him. He could not contact anyone from his own phone. He explained that the battery was unloaded in it. That is why he approached the nearest booth with the phone and rang to the dispatcher of the Tunnel Management Center. The dispatcher called a police patrol, who took this man from the tunnel to a safe place – Sergeant Przemysław Furgała from the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us.

The intervention towards the man ended at the next bus stop.
