The barometric situation over Poland has remained stable and unstable for several days. Sunday will be another day with high values on thermometers, but there will be a risk of storm clouds forming in most of the country. tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek explained that some regions will be able to avoid lightning.
As tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek reported on Sunday morning, Poland is located in the area of a blurred barometric field, located between the lows over Western Europe and the high over Russia. This is a typical summer situation, with good conditions for clouds to swirl during the day and the formation of local, small, narrow storm fronts that disappear at night.
However, the high above Russia is expected to slowly expand, which will block development storms in the eastern regions of Poland. Warm and moist air from the Mediterranean Sea continues to flow over the country from the south.
In the morning in Poland
On Sunday morning, the sky over Poland was clear, only in the southern part of the country and in Podlasie, Masuria and Pomerania, more clouds appeared. It was raining locally: rainfall occurs in Silesia in the area of Głubczyce and Międzygórze in the Kłodzko Valley, as well as in the vicinity of SuwałkiPisz, Gdańsk and Chojnice.
At 7 a.m., an isolated storm cell formed in Masuria. There was thunder in the area Nicholas Day and Ruciane-Nida. The phenomenon was accompanied by rainfall of up to 10 liters per square meter and wind gusts reaching speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour.
After overnight rainfall, there was fog in some places, limiting visibility. At 6 a.m. it was limited to 300 meters in Resko, 500 m in Jelenia Góra and 800 m in Wrocław. Thermometers showed from 10 degrees Celsius in Jelenia Góra and Lesko, through 13 degrees Celsius in Łódź and 16 degrees C in Warsaw up to 17 degrees C Ustka and Łeba. There was a light and moderate wind from the east and south-east.
