The tenth jubilee Grand Final of Released from Theory took place on Thursday. This is the first team, extracurricular social project olympiad in Poland for students and secondary school students. The winners, the authors of the best initiatives this year, were awarded Golden Wolves.
The ceremony took place at the Służewiec Horse Racing Track. The Grand Final is an annual summary of social projects implemented in the 10th edition of the Zwolnieni z Theory Olympiad. The presence at the event has already been confirmed by politicians and local government officials (including the Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Education Katarzyna Lubnauer and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski) and representatives of the largest companies operating on the Polish market.

– Modern education should be about teaching understanding of the world, not memorizing facts (…) more group work, more empathy. More skills that are needed today. If we are to live in the world of artificial intelligence, we must understand that the robot memorizes more, but it will not fit in a group, it does not have the incredible social skills that young people have – said the mayor of Warsaw from the stage.
He also expressed his “respect and admiration” for teachers who support young people and thus go beyond the established patterns in Polish education.
Katarzyna Lubnauer, in turn, emphasized that the Ministry of Education sees the need for changes in the education system. – The knowledge provided must be more practical. The curriculum reform is to be based on a graduate who has knowledge, competences and skills. Also the soft ones, which you acquire so beautifully thanks to the Released from Teorii project, she emphasized.

This year's winners were selected in eleven categories: education, ecology, culture, civil society, local community, urban space, health and sport, public events, social advertising, charity collection and technology project.

The Finals of Released from Theory are important events on a nationwide scale, attended by the most important politicians, representatives of business and social organizations.
Platform participants can count on help in establishing and implementing their own social projects – the platform provides training, workshops and practical information thanks to which the project can be successful. The authors of the best ideas can not only count on the Golden Wolf, but also gain important experience on the labor market and practical knowledge necessary, for example, to run their own business.
