The new settlement period in the 800 plus program will start on June 1 this year and will last until May 31, 2025. Applications for this period can be submitted from February 1. Applications can be submitted via the Emp@tia portal, electronic banking, PUE ZUS, as well as via the free mZUS application. – Almost 4 million children have already been granted benefits from the Family 800 plus program for the next benefit period. – If parents do not want to have a break in the 800 plus payment, they should submit a correctly completed application by the end of April. The benefit will then be paid in June. If the document is received in May, the transfer from ZUS will be transferred to the account by July 31 with compensation for June. And if the application is submitted in June, payment can be expected no later than the end of August with compensation from June – explained the spokesman. He emphasized that it is worth keeping an eye on the deadlines to ensure continued payment and not to lose the right to benefits. If parents or guardians are late and submit their application for the new period after June 30, they will no longer receive compensation from June. The right to the benefit will only apply from the month of submitting the application, with the exception of parents of newborn children who have three months from the child's birth to submit documents. The three-month rule also applies in the event of a child being placed in care, adoption of a child or actual placement of a child in a social welfare home or foster care.

Who is entitled to the 800 plus benefit?

The 800 plus benefit is available to each child up to the age of 18, regardless of their income. From January 1, 2024, the amount of the childcare benefit was increased from PLN 500 to PLN 800. This amount changed automatically, which means there was no need to submit an additional application. Money is transferred only in a non-cash form to a bank account.
