Valorization of rates on A2 – the company gave reasons

The company explained that “the change in prices is dictated by the increase in the cost of current maintenance, the cost of financing – servicing loans and the cost of ongoing and planned investments”. Moreover, “increases in the prices of materials and services in various branches of the economy record the highest levels in history”, and “according to data from the Central Statistical Office in January 2023 an increase inflation reached a level not seen for 26 years – as much as 17.2 percent. compared to the same month of the previous year”. In addition, “growing prices of services and energy, including 34 percent. increase in prices of energy carriers in January yoy”, which “significantly increase the motorway maintenance costs”.

“The current indexation of rates is lower than the current inflation readings and price changes on other sections of toll public roads, and ranges from 7.6% to 10.2%, depending on the vehicle category” – emphasized in the release.
