Fatal accident in Dębniki, Krakow. The driver of the Citroen hit a bus shelter and a lamp post. The man died on the spot.
According to the police, the 71-year-old lost control of the car for unexplained reasons in the morning. The accident occurred on Tuesday before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Kapelanka and Monte Cassino streets on the road towards the city center.
– The driver of the Citroen drove first into a bus shelter and then into a lamppost. The man was resuscitated, but unfortunately his life could not be saved, said Piotr Szpiech, press officer of the Krakow police station.
Police technicians and firefighters worked at the scene of the accident. One lane of the road was blocked. Traffic was restored before 12 p.m.
