Elections 2023. Szymon Hołownia: the task of the Third Way is to mobilize all those who have not yet believed in change

On Monday, a press briefing of the Third Way was held in the arcades of the Senate in Warsaw, attended by, among others, Szymon Hołowniachairman of Poland 2050 Szymon Hołownia and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamyszpresident of the Polish People’s Party.

– We feel, or even believe, that this campaign is probably the most aggressive and full of quarrels in our political history. It is unfathomable that today, instead of talking about things that really change our lives, we observe people who, egged on by politicians, shout at each other and fight in front of cinemas – said Hołownia.

– I have the impression that some people are running this campaign as if they forgot that after October 15 there will be October 16, on which day we will wake up in our homes, in the same families, in the same workplaces and we will still have to function together – added. He said that “October 15 is a stage, it is a stop and we want this stop to be a stop for real change.”

Hołownia said that “the task of the Third Way is mobilization.” – Mobilization of all those who have not yet believed in this change. This is the goal we set for ourselves today, he said.

– In the research we do, we see: one fifth of today’s voters PiS these are people who say their second choice there may be a Third Way. This is a huge responsibility that rests on us today to expand this camp of real hope. So that there will be more hope, not arguments, in Poland after the elections. That’s why we are constantly on the road – continued the leader of Poland 2050.

He argued that on the weekend of September 30 and October 1, there will be a thousand mobilization meetings throughout Poland, organized by Third Way candidates. As he said, it will be a tour “from the Baltic Sea to Nowy Sącz”. According to him, the Third Way is a “secure future.” – With the Third Way, on October 16 you will wake up in a safe future. You will wake up at home, in the places where you live, and breathe a deep sigh of relief that politics without arguments is possible, he added.

President PSL Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that Third Way candidates will be “wherever possible.”

– These thousand symbolic meetings over two days, September 30 and October 1, stimulate the social fabric. All those who are still wondering whether to vote at all, whether it makes sense, whether politics can have something in their lives – he said, emphasizing that “politics is still present in the lives of each of us.”

– If you are not interested in politics, we assure you, politics has been interested in you for a long time. Either you passively, staying at home, supporting who knows who and playing roulette, the outcome of which is completely unknown, or you have your own responsibility and you take it on yourself – continued the leader of the People’s Party.

– We go our own way, the third way, which leads to normality, solving problems, not creating them. Because the role of the authorities is to prudently take care of the common good, that is, to solve what has happened, some problem that we face, difficulties that exist in life, and not the authority that creates problems. And today we are dealing with such power, he argued.

He assessed that Third Road could be an alternative for disappointed PiS voters. – In my opinion, they were deceived at many times because they meant well, and someone distorted the reality, someone lied to them, deceived them, misled them. There is this bridge that preserves the values ​​that are important to you, traditional values, but does not bring us into conflict either in the country or with the whole of Europe and the world. Today we need peace and quiet, he emphasized.

He stressed that “those who pour gasoline on the burning fire will not restore normality.”
