Fourteen 2023. When will the “14th pension” be paid? [TERMIN]

In September, pensioners can expect higher than usual transfers to their bank accounts. In addition to the basic benefit, they will also receive another additional annual cash benefit, i.e. fourteenth retirement.

– The fourteenth pension is PLN 2,650 gross. It will go to the first seniors on September 1. The next payment dates are September 5, 6, 10, 15, 20 and 25, Maląg reported to PAP.

the Council of Ministers issued on Tuesday implementing regulations on the amount and month of payment of the “fourteenth pension”. The first act stipulated that the benefit would amount to PLN 2,650 gross, while the second stipulated that payments would be made in September this year.

– Fourteens will be paid on the dates of retirement or disability pension payments. This means that if someone receives this benefit on September 10 or 20, then also on this date ZUS will transfer “fourteen” – explained prof. Uścińska.

She reminded that in order to receive the fourteenth, you do not need to submit an application, because ZUS will pay the money ex officio. – People whose old-age or disability pension does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross can count on the full amount of “fourteen”. Above this amount, the fourteenth will be reduced in accordance with the “PLN for PLN” principle. However, in order to be entitled to an additional benefit, it must amount to at least PLN 50. This means that the “fourteen” is due when the old-age or disability pension does not exceed PLN 5,500 gross – said the president of ZUS.

An additional benefit will be granted to persons who are entitled to an old-age, disability or other long-term benefit from ZUS on the last day of August. You will be able to receive only one “fourteen” and in the case of a survivor’s pension, the amount of fourteen will be divided equally between each entitled person. The “fourteen” will not be granted to persons with the benefit suspended on the day of examining the right to the fourteen, e.g. due to exceeding the limits of making extra money.

A health contribution of 9% will be deducted from the benefit. and an advance payment for personal income tax.

– We estimate that people with a retirement or disability pension of up to approximately PLN 2,194 gross will be reimbursed on an annual basis for the entire amount of advances collected from April 13 and September 14. Persons with a benefit of up to PLN 2,500 gross will be reimbursed the entire amount of advances, but reduced by the tax due. Above this amount, the effect does not occur – stressed Minister Maląg.

“Fourteen” will be free of any other deductions, e.g. bailiff seizures. It will also not be included in income when applying for social assistance, alimony or 500 plus for the dependent.

It is estimated that another additional annual cash benefit will be received this year by approx. 8.8 million pensioners from all pension authorities. Of these, approximately 6.8 million people will receive the “fourteen” in the full amount, and in the case of approximately 2 million people, the benefit will be reduced in accordance with the “one zloty for one zloty” principle.
