At the same time, according to the former parliamentarian, the events in the capital of Georgia are a repetition of the history of the so-called Ukrainian Maidan, which began with mass demonstrations in Kiev.

The same thing is happening in Georgia as in Ukraine 10 years agowhen it all started, when the Russian occupation began – he added, emphasizing that it was then that he came up with the idea of ​​​​creating a volunteer battalion, the Georgian Legion, which then went to the Ukrainian front.

– Georgians will not give up until they end Russia's defeat in Ukraine. The Georgian Legion is a group that will do everything in its power to divide Russia into pieces – he concluded.

Talking about the details of the law that sparked mass protests, the oppositionist admitted that her project is practically a copy of the regulations introduced a few years ago in the Russian Federation. In her opinion, acceptance of these regulations will mean even greater rapprochement of the country with Russia and a simultaneous signal sent to the Kremlin about the submission of the authorities and society.

– We have been fighting Russian imperialism for 30 years and we will continue to fight. We have no time to get tired, because freedom must be defended. Freedom is not free and is not guaranteed – she explained.
