The accident of a Polish coach took place in Germany on the A2 motorway near Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt. Many people were injured, said the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that our citizens were among them. According to the German media, about 60 people traveled on the bus. 26 were injured, six of them seriously.

The accident happened between Irxleben and Bornstedt at night.

“The Boerde motorway police confirmed that today around 3 am on the A-2 motorway between Irxleben and Bornstedt there was an accident involving a Polish bus. As a result of the accident, many passengers were injured, including Polish citizens,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Earlier, German media, citing local police, reported that about 60 people were on the bus. The bus suddenly veered off the road and overturned onto its roof. According to the officers, six people were seriously injured, 20 with minor injuries.

The causes of the accident are unknown. The motorway towards Hannover is blocked.
