Around 2 a.m., the Gorzów city monitoring operator noticed two people riding electric scooters against the flow. A moment later, they both got on one scooter and continued riding down Chrobrego Street.
The police officer on duty was informed about the incident and he decided to send a patrol. – There were several people on site, but thanks to camera recordings there was no problem with identifying people who used the scooters. It turned out that they were driven by two 17-year-old girls – said Commissioner Grzegorz Jaroszewicz from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

It quickly turned out that driving against traffic is not the only thing that teenagers can be accused of. The officers suspected that they might be under the influence of alcohol. The breathalyzer test confirmed this. One of the girls had over half a permille, and the other over one and a half. Both of them did not escape punishment.
– The police decided that in this situation they would impose fines of PLN 2,500 each. The teenagers were placed in the care of an adult, Jaroszewicz said.

The police would like to remind you that the regulations prohibit a person from driving a scooter while under the influence of alcohol or under the influence of alcohol or an alcohol-like substance. Additionally, it is prohibited to transport other people, animals and objects on an electric scooter.
– There are regulations that regulate the use of these vehicles. It is worth getting acquainted with them before we set off. Thanks to this, we will avoid unnecessary problems and the use of an electric scooter will be safe – recalled Jaroszewicz.
