On Tuesday, parliamentarians will be informed about a massive data breach of Ministry of Defense personnel, the British station Sky News reported on Monday evening. According to television, the cyberattack was allegedly carried out by China.

According to Sky News, the cyberattack allegedly affected the payroll system, which included current ministry staff and several veterans. Mainly names and bank details were revealed. However, the British broadcaster reported, the investigation did not show that any data had been downloaded.

As Sky News wrote, the British government does not provide the name of the country that allegedly carried out the attack, but according to television it is China. Beijing, it was reported, is to be accused of two or three hacking attempts.

According to the station, the Ministry of Defense has been working intensively over the last 72 hours to understand the scale of the system intrusion that was detected in recent days.
