On Tuesday, the police announced the names of all four people whose bodies were found in the house of a Polish-Thai family near Norwich in eastern England. It was also revealed that the 45-year-old Pole called the police shortly before his death.

The dead were a 45-year-old Pole, his two daughters, aged 12 and 9, and the 36-year-old sister of his wife from Thailand. Initially, the British media assumed that the 36-year-old woman was the Pole’s sister, as she had often helped him take care of the house in recent weeks.

Last weekend, the police reported that all the bodies had injuries, and on Sunday evening they specified that the man died from a single stab wound to the neck, and the woman died from more than one stab wound to the neck. The girls’ autopsies will be performed on Wednesday.

Murder of a Polish-Thai family near Norwich

The tragedy occurred last Friday morning in Costessey. Officers responded to the home at 7:15 a.m., less than 15 minutes after receiving a call from one of the concerned neighbors.

However, it later turned out – to which the police admitted – that they received the first call at 6 a.m., but it was ignored and officers were not sent to the scene of the incident. The person calling the police was a 45-year-old Pole.

On Tuesday, the IOPC, an independent police watchdog, reported that during the call the man had said he was “confused and concerned about his mental state.” The British media reported last weekend about the man’s recent mental problems, citing his neighbors.

The police announced over the weekend that they were not looking for anyone in connection with this case.
