Frosts can occur in the night from Monday to Tuesday almost throughout Poland. Locally, it is possible to drop the temperature at the ground to -6 degrees Celsius. Alerts from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management are in force.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued weather warnings.
IMGW alerts – frost
First degree frost warnings have been issued for the following provinces:
– warmiÅ„sko-mazurskie;
– of Lodzoutside the WieluÅ„ and Wieruszów counties;
– Greater Polandfor poviats: SÅ‚upca, Konin, KoninKoÅ‚o, Turkish, Kalisz;
– Lower Silesiafor counties: LubaÅ„, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GoraKamienna Góra, WaÅ‚brzych, KÅ‚odzko, ZÄ…bkowice;
– Silesianfor the counties: Zawiercie, Myszkowski, CzÄ™stochowa, Cieszyn, Bielsko-BialaBielsko, Å»ywiec;
A local drop in air temperature below 0 degrees Celsius is forecast. The minimum temperature will be from -2 degrees C to 2 degrees C, and the temperature at the ground from -6 degrees C to -1 degrees C.
The warnings will expire at 7am on Tuesday.
What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
