Jakub Ulewicz was born on March 30, 1967 in Poznań. In 1989 he graduated from the Acting Department of the State Higher School of Theater in Krakow.

He was associated with the Poznań stage until 1993, then he began working with the Wojciech Bogusławski Theater in Kalisz, which lasted until 1998.
