Within the March 23 trailer for HBO Max’s restricted sequence Love and Death—premiering April 27—the sensational real-life saga of Candy Montgomery, performed by Elizabeth Olsen, is dropped at life.
“Males, they get to go to their jobs,” Sweet says. “We simply keep house and, god, that is presupposed to be sufficient.”
Bored together with her mundane, suburban existence, Sweet yearns for greater than what her small-town Texas life can present.
“It’s human nature to take dangers,” Sweet suggests, “to go for one thing with slightly thrill on the threat of falling.”
That is when, as luck would have it, she meets Allan Gore, performed by Jesse Plemons. After their paths intersect by, fairly actually, working into one another throughout a recreation of volleyball, Sweet treats their likelihood assembly as a possibility, asking Allan, “Would you be all in favour of having an affair?”
Sweet Montgomery would by no means be accused of being refined.
