Poland 2050 has prepared a bill ordering the openness of the prices of apartments

The Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz announced that Poland 2050 submitted a bill in the Sejm on the disclosure of housing prices by developers. As the head of the ministry informed, the new regulations impose an obligation to provide the price of an apartment for a square meter and for the entire premises, as well as information about all additional costs related to the offer.

“Enough to tilting the head in front of the big lobby: 'Because it has always been so' it does not have to be! People if they work together” – wrote the minister in social media.

The head of the ministry announced that Poland 2050 submitted to the Sejm a bill on the disclosure of housing prices by developers.

As the head of the department explained, the developers are to be imposed on the website. The regulation also introduces the requirement to provide the price of an apartment for a square meter and for the entire premises, information about all additional costs related to the offer (parking space, garden or garage) or publish the history of price list changes. “Non -compliance with these principles is prosecuted by UOKiK ex officio. There is a penalty of up to 10 % of turnover from last year for violating the collective interests of the consumer” – described the minister. “The bill tomorrow will enter the online parliamentary consultations – Take part in them! Show your power!” she appealed.

Grandson: This will allow you to have equal chances

On Thursday, Polish MP 2050 Kamil Wnuk also talked about the solution at a press conference. The grandson said at a press conference in the Sejm that the act is to make the apartment know what its price is and what is in its scope – e.g. a parking space or a basement.

– Today on the market 60-80 percent people selling apartments at every stage of sales do not give this price. This act will change this. It will allow this honest developers, these honest sellers have equal chances with those who speculate in this market – emphasized the MP. – Everyone who is a seller of an apartment or house is required to have a website. Basic data must be on it: who is the seller, address data, as well as the price of all purchase of real estate with all allowances, if they are. And if they are not there, such information must be placed – the grandson said. The grandson estimated that the actions taken by Poland2050, including the aforementioned bill, guarantee that “housing in Poland will move forward, housing prices will decrease and will be public for everyone, and the apartment will be for everyone.”

Oliwiecka: This will strengthen the customer's negotiating position

Polish MP 2050 Barbara Oliwiecka added that the lack of clarity of housing prices weakens the customer's negotiating position, hinders comparing offers on the market, and also poses a threat that the developer, depending on the situation, can raise prices and offer various rates to individual customers. – In Poland we have many other problems on the housing market, so if we subtract this one, very crucial, because a financial problem, it will be a great help. We are working on the next ones, of course – noted Oliwiecka.
