Despite PiS politicians’ assurances that there is no fuel crisis in Poland, you can increasingly buy coffee and hot dogs at Orlen stations, but not fuel. And it doesn’t look like a temporary difficulty. At many stations, drivers cannot refuel their cars due to “failures”. – This is a lie, a fraud. Propaganda, nothing more. All the distributors suddenly broke down? – asks one of the drivers.
– It’s hard not to start this meeting in Płock with the simplest question: listen, where can I refuel the diesel? – said Donald Tusk during the election meeting in Płock. There is a shortage of fuel because retail at Orlen stations is cheaper than wholesale. Orlen also supplies fuel to the Warsaw bus station, but MZA sells it at PLN 6.80 per liter. That’s why there is fuel there, but there are no customers, and there is no fuel at Orlen, but there are frustrated customers. – They made such an advertisement that we had to refuel from competing companies – comments one of the drivers who could not refuel his car.
Campaign game?
Orlen did everything to make it cheap before the elections – this is not only the opposition’s accusation. In the latest survey, as many as 65 percent of respondents believed that the decline in fuel prices at Orlen is the result of political decisions, and Orlen is manipulating fuel prices to help PiS win the elections..
In addition – as we hear – in addition to the lack of fuel at stations, there is also a shortage of heating oil. – There is a shortage of fuel oil in four oil depots – Emilianów, Koluszki, Lublin and the Płock terminal – which can be said to be the largest in this part of Poland – emphasizes Dariusz Joński from Inicjatywa Polska, Civic Coalition.
Hospitals, kindergartens, schools and individual customers are wondering where they can buy fuel oil for their furnaces. When asked about shortages at stations and heating oil, Orlen replied to “Faktom” TVN that “it fulfills all contractual obligations and meets the needs of its customers on an ongoing basis.”
Orlen does not have even temporary difficulties in providing assurances that everything is fine.
