The state-owned Belarusian press agency BiełTA published on Monday a report from a press conference during which Tomasz Szmydt, judge of the Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw, announced that he had asked for asylum in Belarus. – I'm shocked, to be honest. We have had a traitor before, it seems that this is a somewhat similar case – commented Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.
– Shocking news. I can't comment on it, but it seems that it was someone involved in these political campaigns during the previous term. It's an absolutely shocking case, he said.
– I know as much about the case as you do because I took part in the panel and it broke out an hour ago – he replied to a journalist's question regarding this issue. – I'm shocked, to be honest. We've had a traitor before, it seems to be a similar case, he added.
