Two men suspected of attacking a friend with a knife and breaking his car window were detained and arrested. One of them was detained by officers from Radom, the other by the border guard at the airport. He was going to fly to Spain.
Justyna Jaśkiewicz, spokeswoman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom, announced on Thursday that the incident occurred after the 22-year-old gave a ride to one of the clubs in Radom. When the man demanded the money they had previously promised him for a ride, an argument broke out.
– Ultimately, the perpetrators gave him the previously agreed amount of money, but they attacked him for no reason. They stabbed the man three times and then damaged his car by breaking its window, the spokeswoman reported.

Detained and arrested, they face imprisonment
The police quickly caught one of the alleged perpetrators, and the 22-year-old was taken into police custody. Shortly after, a second suspect was arrested. – The 23-year-old wanted to escape to Spain, but at the airport, during document verification, officers of the Warsaw-Okęcie Border Guard Station confirmed that he was wanted by the police and detained the man – said Jaśkiewicz.
The prosecutor charged both suspects with assault with a dangerous weapon and damage to property. At the request of investigators, the men were temporarily arrested for two months.
The penalty for assault with a dangerous weapon is imprisonment from six months to eight years. For damaging property, the court may impose a penalty of up to five years in prison.
