As analysts reported, Yakovlev company (formerly known as Irkut – ed.), a Russian manufacturer of military and civilian aircraft and a subsidiary of the Russian state-owned conglomerate Rostec, was to purchase equipment bypassing sanctions.
According to calculations by the independent newspaper “The Moscow Times”, Yakovlev purchased equipment abroad for the production of military units with a total value reaching almost USD 500 million. This company is responsible, among others, for: for building combat fighters Su-30 and Yak-130.
One of the main products obtained in the West by Yakovlev is to be mainly components for radar equipment, as well as controllers for military aircraft.
