The police publish the image of a man they suspect of destroying seats in one of the public transport buses in Świdnica. In March, MPK in Świdnica gave an ultimatum to the vandal: he would pay PLN 1,500 to an animal shelter, or the bus surveillance footage would be reported to the police. The man did not take advantage of the offer.
The incident occurred on March 7 around 5:15 p.m. in Świdnica. While the bus on route no. 6 is traveling the vandal painted the seats.
On March 12, MPK Świdnica published an entry on social media in which it gave the perpetrator a choice: “donate PLN 1,000 to the shelter, or we will show the surveillance footage.” After 24 hours without any reaction, the donation amount increased to PLN 1,500. “The lack of proof of payment sent will mean that the recording will be sent to the investigators of the Police Headquarters in Świdnica,” announced the Municipal Communication Company in a statement.

Because the vandal did not pay the money, MPK notified the police and sent recordings from surveillance cameras.

According to the Świdnica police, during the proceedings evidence was secured in the form of recordings, based on which the image of a person who may be related to the incident was established.
“If you recognize the person from the photos or have any information about this incident, please contact the officers from the District Police Headquarters in Świdnica in person or by phone at 47 87 55 321 – the person handling the case, or at the 24-hour number 47 87 55 200, 47 87 55 219 and the emergency number 112. We guarantee anonymity,” writes Asp. Magdalena Ząbek, press officer from the District Police Headquarters in Świdnica.
