The Ministry of National Defense returned with the project of voluntary and free military training “Train with the army”. On Saturday, volunteers practiced in various units in the country, including in Opole and Wrocław. The interest was so great that a reserve list was needed.

There was no question of any reduced tariff. This is an intensive eight -hour training under the guidance of professional soldiers. The participants are civilians. – We have to rush them a bit because they have a little dumpling movements, but we give advice – says a soldier who trains volunteers.

The training is demanding. Military discipline also applies. Shooting, pomegranate throw, melee, reacting to alarms or first aid in field conditions – these are just some of the elements of this training.

– basic shooting training with blind ammunition, training in defense against weapons of mass destruction, i.e. the use of an anti -rag mask, self -defense training and medical training, of course, providing first aid – lists Capt. Adam Sielicki, coordinator of the “Train with the Army” project.

The basics of survival in a difficult, unfriendly area are practiced. One of the elements is protection in a contaminated environment.

Time is key and the instructors tried to work out in the participants. – The norm to put on a mask is nine seconds, so if at this time someone gets out, it's really chapeau bass, but such a person has never hit. In the first group, for example, the first person dressed a mask after 23 seconds, but, as you know, practice makes a champion – says a soldier who trains volunteers.

The interest is great

Difficult exercises and discipline do not deter. – Something interesting, something new – says Kamila, training participant. – I thought it would be more boring. And here everything is interesting, there will still be a blindfold shooting. I think it will be even cooler – says Norbert, training participant.

200 people participated in the training in Wrocław, but the interest was much greater. – We had 350 willing, and basically it was three weeks before today, i.e. the date of the training itself – indicates Adam Sielicki.

There was also a lot of willing in Opole. Over one hundred volunteers checked their strength in military reality. – 45 minutes have passed, and I have my eyes more and more open, and I think that this will not be the only training in which I will take part – says Anna, training participant.

– I decided to participate due to the fact that I wanted to get to know military techniques, this combat field medicine, how to throw a grenade – says Helena, another participant in the training.

You can learn first aid

Training is not a form of any mobilization. It is about acquiring completely basic skills in danger situations, not only on the battlefield. Hence the great emphasis on the first help.

– First aid is an element that we use every day in civil life, so it's worth not only to learn, but later continue to educate these skills – indicates Lt. Dominika Góralska -Chmmielarz, press officer of the 10th Opole Logistics Brigade.

Selected units every week, until July, will organize training for all people between 15 and 65 years old. – Considering the geopolitical situation, I think that each of us, with such a sense of responsibility, a sense of patriotism, should take part in such training – says Anna, participant in the training.

The training is not obliging. It can also be a form of checking whether we do not want to tie our future with the army. – The son is only now choosing a school. This is also wondering if a uniform or something, so it is the right time for us to check – says Ryszard, training participant.
