European leaders are already engaged in war, I talk to them, I hear them, they see the war as their own and are fighting it as their own, he said.
The Prime Minister of Hungary pointed out that among the representatives of the countries European Union People are talking about it more and more boldly “next steps” expanding support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
– Money, weapons, but the situation is not improving, in fact it is getting worse. We are one step away from the West sending troops to Ukraine. This is a vortex of war that could drag Europe into the abyss. Brussels is playing with fire, he emphasized.
– We do not want war and we do not want Hungary to become the toy of great powers again. That is why we must stand for peace. I recommend that at home, in Brussels, in Washington, UN and NATO have made a clear commitment. As long as the state is headed by a national government, Hungary will not enter the Russian-Ukrainian war on anyone's side, he added.
War in Ukraine. Head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: We didn't get involved
The next person to appear at the convention of the Fidesz-KDNP coalition was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto.
The main topic of the politician's speech, as in the case of Orban, was the issue of the war in Ukraine and the involvement of European Union countries in it.
According to Szijjarto, the Hungarian authorities had to struggle with pressure and even blackmail from Brussels. – We didn't get involved in the war. We managed to keep Hungary and the Hungarian people safe, even though we were and still are under great pressure, both external and internal, he said.
– From the transatlantic community often we stood alone for peace – he argued. As the head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “most European political leaders suffer from war psychosis.”
– Europe is not at war. Nobody attacked Europe, he concluded.
