– Putin’s invasion is an epochal test. A test for America, a test for the world Joe Biden during the annual State of the Union address in Congress.

– Will we stand up for the most basic principles? Will we stand up for sovereignty? Will we defend ourselves? people’s rights to a life free from tyranny? Will we stand up for democracy? – He was asking the president of the United States of America. – A year later, we know the answer: Yes, we will. So we stopped. “If China threatens our sovereignty, we will act”

– I am obliged to cooperate with Chinawhere it is beneficial to American interests and the world. But let no one have any illusions: as we showed last week, if China threatens our sovereignty, we will take action to protect our country. And we did,” Biden said, referring to the shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon.

He also stated that while previously it was said that China was rising and America was in decline, this is no longer the case. He declared that while he did not want a conflict with the People’s Republic of China, he intended to win the competition with China and called for unity in the face of this challenge.

– Winning the competition with China should unite us all. We are facing major challenges around the world,” Biden said. At the same time, he noted that during his presidency, democracies strengthened and autocracies weakened. “Show me a world leader who would like to trade places with Xi Jinping today,” he added.

Biden: We’re in a better position to keep inflation under control

“Inflation is a global problem because of the pandemic that has disrupted supply chains and Putin’s war that has disrupted energy and food supplies,” the US president said. “But we’re in a better position than any country,” he said, pointing to falling inflation, food and petrol prices, lower prices and record low unemployment.

Biden also noted the change in America’s approach to the economy and the focus on rebuilding American industry.

– For too many decades we have imported products and exported jobs. Now, with everything we’ve done, we’re exporting American products and creating American jobs,” he said. “We ensure that America’s supply chain started in America,” he added.

Biden: I’m calling on Congress to increase the debt limit

“No president has increased our national debt in four years more than my predecessor. Nearly 25 percent of our total debt, which took 200 years to accumulate, was added by the last administration alone,” Biden said.

– How did Congress react to all this debt? It raised the debt limit three times without preconditions or crises. He paid America’s bills to avoid economic disaster for our country. He called on the US Parliament to raise the debt ceiling again without imposing prohibitive conditions. At the same time, he accused some Republicans of blackmail and the desire to force him to make radical cuts in social spending.

According to the US Department of Finance, without increasing the limit, the state will run out of money to pay off debts in June, which may mean insolvency and global economic chaos.
