The Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police has broken up an organized crime group that was distributing drugs in the capital. The services found 16 kilograms of marijuana, over 300 ecstasy tablets and other prohibited substances. 15 people were detained.

The Central Police Investigation Bureau reported that during the searches over 16 kilograms of marijuana, over 300 ecstasy tablets, hallucinogenic mushrooms, mephedrone, cocaine and amphetamine were found and seized, which were forwarded for comprehensive tests.

“In addition, a mephedrone production laboratory and a home cultivation of five marijuana bushes were discovered and liquidated. During the operation, money from drug trafficking in the amount of almost PLN 500,000 was also secured,” it was reported.

The Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police in Warsaw and the District Prosecutor's Office of Warsaw-Praga participated in the activities aimed at dismantling an organised crime group distributing drugs in Warsaw.

As part of the operation carried out in early June, 15 suspects were detained, including 10 members of an organized crime group. The detentions were made with the support of the combat teams of the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police.

The suspects were charged with participation in an organized criminal group and smuggling and introducing significant amounts of drugs into circulation. It was reported that based on the evidence collected, 10 people were temporarily arrested.
