The Warsaw commander took over the disciplinary proceedings concerning the officers who participated in the incident near Pruszków. There were teenagers in the crashed police car. The case is still being investigated by investigators, and the commander decided to suspend one person.
– Advanced disciplinary actions are still underway in connection with the incident in Dawidy Bankowe. The analysis of the collected material was presented to the Warsaw Police Commander, who yesterday decided to take over the disciplinary proceedings. At the same time, the Warsaw Police Commander decided to suspend the patrol commander – Sylwester Marczak, spokesman for the Warsaw Police told us on Tuesday morning.
Teenagers in a radio car. What happened?
The event happened last week near Warsaw. Near the intersection of Kinetyczna and Złote Łany streets in Dawidy Bankowe. It turned out that two teenagers were traveling with the officers. “We have no reason to believe these people were in that police car. Hence the decision to initiate disciplinary action against the police officers, said Sylwester Marczak, spokesman for the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
The police confirmed that the 17- and 19-year-olds “received medical assistance on their own” immediately after the incident. According to the accounts of the younger girl’s relatives, when they got out of the crashed police car, one of the policemen approached them as if he wanted to check if they were okay. The other was to shout to them: “Now go to sleep!”. Friends of the teenagers took them to the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Raszyn, where there is also an ambulance station. The younger one was then taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with, among other things, a broken nose and a contusion of the shoulder and jaw, after tests she was discharged home.
The relatives of the injured 17-year-old told on Tuesday in conversations with the editors of Kontakt 24 that the girl met her friends in the evening. They went for a ride together, during which they noticed a fire in the area of Dawidy Bankowe. The teenagers called the fire department. The report concerned a garbage fire in a wasteland within Zlote Łany Street in Dawidy. One crew was on site. It turned out that the garbage is not much, about a few square meters.
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Pruszków is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
