We are facing a big cold. We will feel the temperature drop on Sunday, and in the second half of next week thermometers may show below 10 degrees Celsius everywhere. There will be rain and strong wind.

Poland is under the influence of the deep and extensive Tino low-pressure vortex. The large vortex draws cold polar air from the north, and the Verena high-pressure system helps it quickly suck in fresh air mass, informs tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek. He adds that the cold front will cover south-eastern Poland on the night from Saturday to Sunday, and during the day it will move away from our country to Ukraine and the Balkans.

On Sunday, there will be moderate to heavy cloud cover. In Pomerania, Lubuska Region and Warmia and Mazury there will be light rainfall of 1-3 liters per square meter. Initially, it may also rain lightly in the Podkarpacie region. The maximum temperature will range from 10 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania, through 12 degrees C in the center of the country, to 14 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind will be west, moderate, quite strong at times, gusting to 50-60 kilometers per hour in most of the country, and up to 70-80 km/h in the north.

Than Tino will dominate the weather

– In the following days, the weather will continue to be influenced by the great low, moving slowly from Scandinavia towards northern Russia. The low pressure will be followed by the high pressure, which will settle over Scandinavia at the end of the week. There will be light rain in the humid air in northern Poland, says the forecaster. He adds that at the end of the week, when the low pressure and high pressure will direct a stream of Arctic air towards us, the temperature will drop and the first light snowfalls may appear in the lowlands.
