Seven people were killed and a dozen others injured when a bus carrying pilgrims caught fire on the way from an annual festival, police in Zimbabwe said on Monday.

The incident took place on Sunday evening. Seven people were killed and 14 injured when a bus carrying Church of England pilgrims returning from the annual Bernard Mizeki festival in Marondera, northeastern Zimbabwe, caught fire.

Edwin Selemani of the Anglican Church said some suffered burns and others suffered fractures as they jumped from the burning vehicle. – Four hospitalized people are in critical condition – he added.
