LOT spokesman Krzysztof Moczulski informed that the dreamliner of PLL LOT, which flew from Chopin Airport to Zanzibar on Sunday, was turned back. The reason was a glitch. He added that the plane continued to Zanzibar after the defect was repaired.

As Moczulski informed, the plane was turned back from above Bulgaria, and the reason was a defect in the indication of the anti-icing system. He added that after the improvement, the same plane continued its flight.

Earlier, on Saturday, a Dreamliner flying to New York was returned to Chopin Airport due to a defect in the so-called artificial horizon. The machine was turned back over the Baltic Sea, nearby Sweden.

Passengers on this plane were due to depart on the same day USA, but the handling agent in New York informed the carrier that due to the long delay it would not be able to accept the LOT aircraft. – Therefore, the cruise will be postponed to Sunday. Passengers will get a hotel, breakfast and all benefits,” the spokesman said.
