Near Mińsk Mazowiecki, a moose got onto the highway. While trying to cross the road, the animal was hit by a passenger car driver. Five people, including three children, were taken to hospital for tests. The moose did not survive the accident.

The incident occurred at night, on the A2 near Anielinek.

It is not known how the animal got over the highway fence.

We asked the fire brigade for details. Firefighters received a report about the incident at 11:11 p.m.

– The car hit a moose. Two adults and three children were traveling in the car. The ambulance service only provided assistance to adults, but children were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, said senior captain. Kamil Płochocki from the fire brigade in Mińsk Mazowiecki. – The moose did not survive the collision with the car – he added.

Three fire brigades, police and a medical rescue team worked on site. Firefighters finished their operations around 1 a.m. During the operation, one lane of the A2 motorway towards Siedlce was blocked.
