Białystok. Former head of prevention accused of violating the bodily integrity of a police station employee

The prosecutor's office submitted an indictment to the court against the former head of the prevention department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok, who allegedly slapped a civilian employee of the command on the buttocks during a meeting on Women's Day. The accused pleads not guilty. Violation of bodily integrity may result in a fine, restriction of liberty or up to one year in prison.

The case concerns an official meeting on the occasion of last year's Women's Day in the building of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok. The head of the prevention department allegedly slapped a civilian employee of the command on the buttocks.

Due to the suspicion that there had been behavior that could violate dignity and bodily integrity, the provincial commander dismissed the policeman from his position and initiated disciplinary proceedings against him.

He was fired from his job

– He was dismissed because he behaved in a degrading way, violating dignity and inviolability – said Tomasz Krupa, spokesman for the Podlasie police.

– The above circumstances were established on the basis of the testimony of witnesses – mainly officers and civilian employees of the command – secured by monitoring from the building of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok and other evidence – says Elżbieta Łukasiewicz, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrołęka.

He pleaded not guilty

An indictment has just been submitted to the District Court in Białystok.

The alleged offense is punishable by fines, restriction of liberty or up to one year in prison.

As the tvn24.pl reporter found out, this is an officer who was involved in the high-profile case of throwing red and white confetti from the deck of a Border Guard helicopter during the Independence Day celebration in Augustów. The guest of these celebrations was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, Law and Justice MP Jarosław Zieliński, who was then supervising the police.

This policeman – according to the findings of tvn24.pl – was also involved in organizing another event in which Deputy Minister Zieliński also participated. It was about a conference devoted to the safety of older people, during which the deputy minister was welcomed by the Sen Hawaii group, operating at the Białystok 50+ Academy, by performing Hawaiian dance show.
