Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued meteorological warnings.
IMWM warnings – frosts
First degree warnings against frost were issued in the following voivodeships:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeshipoutside northern counties;
- Lubuskiein northern counties;
- Greater Polandin the north of the region;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipin the following counties: Gołdap, Olecko, Ełk;
- Podlasie;
- Masovian Voivodeshipin the east of the region;
- Świętokrzyskieoutside the following poviats: Konecki and Włoszczowa;
- Lublin Province;
- Podkarpackie;
- Lesser Poland;
- Silesianin the following counties: Bielsko, Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec and Cieszyn;
- Opole provincein Nysa County;
- Lower Silesiain the following counties: Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra.
In the region, the air temperature is forecast to drop to approximately 1 degree Celsius, and at ground level to -2 degrees Celsius.
The warnings will come into force at 10pm on Friday and will expire at 10pm. 7 on Saturday.
IMWM warnings – snowmelt
