A tornado ripped through the city of Lincoln in the US state of Nebraska on Friday afternoon. Footage captured by Justin Williamson shows a huge vortex approaching the Gateway Mall. Emergency sirens sounded in the city.

Ben Houchin, a Lancaster County sheriff's deputy, said three people were injured as a result of the fire. “I've never seen anything like this up close before,” Houchin said,

The video below, captured by one of the witnesses of the phenomenon – Justin Williamson, shows a huge, dark vortex approaching the parking lot at the Gateway Mall. Emergency sirens sounded in the city.
The US National Weather Service (NWS) issued tornado warnings on Friday. Reports showed that 60 tornadoes had occurred in five states by 9:30 p.m. on Friday.
