Solidarna Polska is “preparing for an independent start”, but a joint electoral list with Law and Justice is still a priority, said Solidarna Polska politician Jacek Dekora. Beata Maciejewska, MP of the Left, pointed out that although Ziobro’s and Kaczyński’s parties are “very much apart”, they are united by the “government trough plus program” and positions in state-owned companies.

Representatives of Solidarna Polska, with Zbigniew Ziobro at the helm, they repeatedly criticized the prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The latest conflict has grown up around changes in the judiciary that would lead to an agreement with the European Commission and mobilize money under the National Reconstruction Plan. Solidarity Poland reiterates its opposition to these changes.

On Tuesday, in the Sejm, journalists asked Jacek Dekora from Solidarna Polska whether his party “could exist without Law and Justice”.

– Solidarna Polska, as the minister mentioned, the Attorney General, i.e. the leader of Solidarna Polska, is preparing for an independent start. But of course, our priority is to start from the list of Law and Justice – he stressed.

As he said, he and his coalition partner “support each other”. – But we differ on matters that concern the substantive dispute and it is very good that we are talking about what is important for Poland – he argued.

– In EU matters, we differ in our approach when it comes to EU negotiations, Warsaw-Brussels relations. Here, in this case, Solidarna Polska was right and we hope that we will be able to convince our larger coalition partner to change course. United Right may sometimes have bitter compromises, but let’s remember that on the other side we have people like Radoslaw Sikorski or Donald Tusk. It is no longer necessary to say how Warsaw-Berlin or Warsaw-Moscow politics are conducted, he said.

Asked whether he thought Prime Minister Morawiecki was conducting his policy badly, he replied: – On European matters, we definitely differ from the Prime Minister.

– The Prime Minister has been deceived. The European Commission can foul, and in this case it fouls. It’s an uncomfortable situation for sure,” he said.

Maciejewska: Solidarna Polska and PiS are connected by the government program “trough plus”

Beata Maciejewska from the Left pointed out that Solidarna Polska and PiS “divide a lot”, but “there is a government, nationwide program ‘trough plus’ that connects Solidarna Polska and PiS”.

– This is a program that is turbocharged today, because its end is approaching, because the governments will be changed. We see it in companies, in transferring money to PiS accounts, we see how they stick to their posts, we see how many deputy ministers there are and how people with PiS ID cards are filled wherever there is still a chance to get it – said the MP.
